"Photography begins not in the camera but in the mind and the eye. The real work is that of noticing and appreciating, seeing things clearly and differently, and sharing that vision with others. I have developed my vision and my photographic craft in order to bring the beauty of nature to light in a fresh way, that can hopefully inspire and nourish people."
Early 1969, I was born in the middle of Holland and until my years as a teenager I moved a lot; Holland, Germany, Spain & The United States were called "home" during that period. I settled along the west coast of Holland when I followed my final education at the Hotel School The Hague with a major in finance.
My drive and passion in life is (apart from spending time with my soul mate & wife Margreet) to explore, share and document as much of our natural beauty as possible. My travels to Asia, Africa, but also trips into the unspoiled areas of Europe, are a great way to stimulate the senses and get an enhanced feeling of awareness of the beauty around us. We all know how to look, but unfortunately most of us lack the ability to see.
With my photography, I hope to create a spark of interest and awareness in the persons taking the time to look at my images.
